Who manages the process
Skilled Trades Ontario is the main official source for apprenticeship registration, current-apprentice records, trade information, and certification steps.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is also part of the apprenticeship system, including administration of in-school training and some preparatory programs.
How an apprenticeship starts
- Confirm the trade path you want, such as 309A Electrician - Construction and Maintenance.
- Find an Ontario sponsor, which may be an employer, union, or other approved sponsor arrangement.
- Apply through the Skilled Trades Ontario process and register the Training Agreement.
- Keep your Registered Training Agreement, wallet card, and logbook information current.
Where practice fits
Practice questions do not replace apprenticeship registration, work experience, in-school training, or official code study. They help you build vocabulary, recognize weak areas, and prepare for later exam review.
Early in the apprenticeship, use practice questions lightly to learn language and topic areas. Closer to the exam, use timed practice and missed-question review more seriously.
