Good forCandidates rebuilding their study routine after an unsuccessful attempt
Good forApprentices who need to separate topic gaps from reading errors or pacing
01

What a practice score can tell you

Quick 10 gives you a starting point, not a readiness verdict. Continue through the 100-question free sample to see whether missed topics repeat. The sample dashboard reflects only the questions you have answered.

Look at the reason behind each answer as well as the score. A correct guess or a familiar question can hide a gap. No app score guarantees a pass or replaces official exam requirements.

02

If you are preparing for a 309A retake

  • Use any topic-level feedback supplied with your result, together with your practice results, to choose where to begin. Record topics and study needs, not remembered exam questions.
  • Choose one or two weak areas. Review the underlying concepts in current course or official material, then practise those areas again.
  • Use the printable checklist below to track review and retesting. Repeat the cycle as needed; seven days is a planning window, not a promise that you will be ready.
  • Confirm current retake, booking, and eligibility requirements directly with Skilled Trades Ontario before making exam arrangements.
03

Choose the next step from the pattern

  • Repeated misses in one topic: pause mixed runs and review that topic before retesting.
  • Reading or calculation slips: slow down, identify what is being asked, and check the steps and units in your working.
  • Accurate answers but slow completion: add timed practice after you understand the material, then review where you spent the most time.
  • A stronger score on familiar questions: check a broader mix and explain your reasoning before treating it as progress.

You miss several service and distribution questions in one practice run. What is the best next study move?

Best answer:Pause mixed practice and review that competency area before another full run.
The app is most useful when missed-question patterns turn into a focused review plan.

A practice question touches a rule-sensitive installation detail. What should you do after reading the explanation?

Best answer:Confirm it against the current rule or course source, then return to the app to practise the concept.
This keeps practice useful while respecting official licensing and code sources.

You got a question right but cannot explain why the wrong answers are wrong. How should you mark that topic?

Best answer:Treat it as a review item, not full mastery.
This is one of the fastest ways to turn practice scores into real exam readiness.
