309A Practice Tests

Privacy Policy

This policy describes the current privacy posture for the iOS app and web app. The product can be used without an account for the Quick 10 diagnostic. A free web account is used to view and save the diagnostic report, unlock the larger free sample, and sync progress.

Short Version

309A Practice Tests does not require an account to complete Quick 10, does not include advertising, and does not use third-party advertising tracking. Practice data stays in your browser until you create an account and sync it. We collect only the information needed to operate accounts, understand first-party product use, handle question reports and support, attribute referrals, and process Premium purchases.

Information We Handle

  • Practice data: answers, bookmarks, modes, exam history, saved sessions, settings, and question flags.
  • Account data: name, email address, account identifier, synced progress, and access entitlement when you log in.
  • Study-planning data: an approximate exam date, the personalized schedule derived from it, and whether you report passing after the exam.
  • Product events: page or feature used, path, referral or campaign attribution, an anonymous browser-session identifier, and event properties such as answered count or selected mode.
  • Purchase data: checkout and PaymentIntent identifiers, payment status, amount and currency, customer identifier, checkout email, referral attribution, refund or dispute status, and the product access granted.
  • Messages and submissions: question-report details, support messages, and reviewer submissions when you choose to send them.
  • Operational data: request, device, browser, IP-address, security, and error information produced by hosting and authentication systems.

Browser Storage and Cookies

The app and web version use browser storage for practice progress, saved sessions, question flags, settings, and first- and last-touch campaign attribution. A random analytics session identifier is kept in session storage for the current browser session. This local information remains until you reset it in the app or clear your browser storage.

Clerk may set cookies needed to keep you signed in. If you visit through an issued referral link, we set first-party referral-code, landing-page, and referral-time cookies for up to 30 days so a later purchase can be attributed and the buyer discount can be applied. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

How We Use Information

  • Provide the free practice experience, account sync, dashboards, and paid access.
  • Create a study schedule from the exam date you provide and request an optional post-exam outcome report.
  • Process checkout, link a purchase to the correct account, and respond to refunds or disputes.
  • Measure product and promotion performance, including valid referral purchases and compensation review.
  • Receive question-accuracy reports, reviewer feedback, and support inquiries.
  • Protect the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and maintain records needed for financial or legal obligations.

Accounts and Practice Sync

Clerk provides optional web login. When you sign in, Clerk supplies basic account information such as your name, email address, and account identifier. Synced practice progress and Premium entitlements are stored in private account metadata and are returned only to the signed-in account. You can complete Quick 10 without an account; a free account is required to view and save the report and unlock the larger sample. If you provide an exam date or post-exam outcome, those values are also stored in private account metadata.

Question Reports and Support

If you flag a question, we receive its internal ID and use the server copy of the question number, prompt, answer, topic, and task to create an accuracy-review record. If you contact support, we receive your email address and message. Do not send card numbers, passwords, or unnecessary sensitive information.

Premium Checkout

Stripe processes the one-time Premium payment. We do not receive or store full card numbers. Stripe sends us the checkout, payment, customer, amount, currency, email, refund, and dispute information needed to validate a purchase and manage access. If you check out before logging in, the checkout email is used to verify the account you connect, and the resulting PaymentIntent is linked to that account for later refund or dispute handling.

Service Providers

We use Vercel for hosting, network protection, and runtime logs; Clerk for authentication and account metadata; Stripe for payment processing and fraud, refund, and dispute workflows; Resend for operational email; and Google Sheets, when configured, for first-party analytics, question reports, and review records. These providers process information for us under their own security and privacy terms and may process it outside Ontario or Canada.

Retention

Browser practice data remains until you reset it or clear browser storage, and referral cookies expire after no more than 30 days. Account progress remains while the account is active unless you request deletion. Purchase, referral, refund, dispute, support, report, analytics, and security records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, provider operations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and applicable financial or legal recordkeeping. Backup or provider copies may take additional time to expire after deletion.

Your Choices and Requests

You can complete Quick 10 without logging in, reset locally stored practice data in the app, clear browser storage or referral cookies, and choose whether to submit a question report or support message. To ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, withdraw a consent where applicable, or raise a privacy concern, email support@309apracticetests.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where deletion is restricted by law or needed to resolve an active transaction or dispute.

Safeguards

We use access controls, private account metadata, encrypted HTTPS connections, secret environment variables, verified payment webhooks, request limits, and hosting security controls appropriate to the information handled. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe an account or submission has been misused.

Independent Study Aid and Policy Changes

If the product adds crash reporting, iOS purchases, subscriptions, advertising, or materially different data uses, this policy will be updated and the new date will be shown above.
